Siv Lunde Kolrud took over as our new chief executive on 15 November 2011, after seven years as hotel director at Oslo’s prestigious Hotel Continental.
Her long career in the travel trade has also included responsibility for foreign sales throughout the Choice Hotels chain, based at its head office.
During that period, she became very familiar with the travel business through spending a lot of her time attending exhibitions around Europe.
Kolrud also spent eight years running her own sales and marketing office for independent hotels in Norway under the collective Merlin Hotels brand.
And she has worked as customer services manager for Ikea.
Exciting
Kolrud is looking forward to an exciting time with us: “The challenges are many, and we must strive to create positive meeting places with great experiences and good offers for our customers.”
She gives special emphasis to making sure that both exhibitors and visitors to feel they have obtained a good return on their investment when they exhibit at or attend one of our events.
“We must not only take care of what’s already established, but also look ahead to retain and reinforce our position as the most important player in Norway’s exhibition and congress sector.”
