Welcome to Oslo Book Fair
 
The Norwegian Publishers Association and Norway Trade Fairs have the great pleasure of inviting the entire book industry and readers to Oslo Book Fair on November 21-23, 2008. The fair will introduce and present literature of great variety to the Norwegian market.
 
Norwegians are committed readers. Surveys reveal an increasing interest in books among Norwegians, and more than 9 out of 10 read one book or more every year.

Oslo Book Fair will be a notable cultural event; far more than just an exhibition. Including seminars with both Norwegian and international authors, a variety of presentations, book readings, entertainment, shows and several cafés, Oslo Book Fair will have all the necessary ingredients to create a fair of a high, international standard.
 
A fruitful mix of people will attend the fair: authors, publishers, literary agents, booksellers, book club representatives, librarians, teachers, students, politicians and readers. The fair will also attract much interest from the mass media.
 
The Book fair will facilitate for trading of global literary, television and film rights, and it is hosted at the same time as the yearly ‘Home & Leisure Fair’. This is promising for the general public’s attendance, as Home & Leisure attracted 32.000 visitors in 2006. The entry ticket will cover both fairs. 
 
The venue is Norway Trade Fairs; the largest exhibition centre in Norway. It offers modern facilities, including a four star hotel. Norway Trade Fairs is located within 2 minutes walking distance from Lillestrøm railway station which is only 12 minutes by train from Oslo Central Station and 15 minutes from Oslo International Airport.
