The wire saw separates steel and pipes out of contrete, 100 meter below the sea level, which have to be re-paired. For these cases, ATP Hydraulik has engineered and constructed a specific underwater diamond wire saw. The saw itself is managed without electrical components on it.

All components had to be absolutely dense and corrosion-resistant. Those parts that immerse into the water are made of stainless steel or treated aluminium. The machine can be operated in a horizontal and a vertical position.

There is no electrical control on the wire saw itself. The operating concept relies on pictograms and simple lamp displays to meet the requirements of the international operating staff. Several hydraulic hoses lead from the manifold block, which is positioned on the wire saw, to the hydraulic power unit, which always remains above the sea level.

Technical data:
Working depth up to 100 m below sea level. Working area, sea water, out of vessels or pontoons. Sawing of pipes out of steel, reinforced steel or concrete, Ø 950 mm - 1'500 mm. Installed power P = 22 kW. Speed of wire, continuously 0 - 30 m/s.

Working conditions:
The wire saw has been specially designed and built for offshore applications. It is designed for re-formation of platforms, sawing of beams, pipes and ducts below sea level.
